KCYPAA has business meetings the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 6:00PM. Our regular meeting location is at 9830 Brimhall Rd #100, Bakersfield, CA 93312. However, with the COVID-19 quarantine, we are currently meeting on Zoom. Please contact us to get a link. All are welcome.
Young People’s groups are in no way separate from Alcoholics Anonymous as a whole. Members are involved in and committed to Twelfth Step work, Hospital and Institution work, Public Information, General Service, and every other facet of AA Service. Newcomers are shown by people their own age that using AA principles in their daily lives and getting involved in AA Service can lead to a lasting and comfortable sobriety.
KCYPAA, is Kern County Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous. Our goal is to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers and foster a unified community of thriving alcoholics through: Unity, Service, and Recovery. Our hope is to be an example and inspire in order to unite, share experiences and pass on the gifts of Alcoholics Anonymous. The disease of alcoholism has no age requirement or limit, nor do we. We are also here to support and be of service to the Bakersfield and surrounding areas fellowship including other YPAAs, to strengthen unity within the group and beyond.
We frequently throw events and all that are sober are welcome! We also regularly attend other YPAA events and conferences around California. If you are not on our Facebook page, please contact us to get connected. We would love to have you.
If you are unsure or just have no clue where to start, we can help. If you would like to email us directly, please reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Otherwise, you can fill out the the contact form here with any questions. We are saving you a seat!
